My Mother’s Day Treat

I had an absolutely wonderful Mother’s Day last Sunday. After being treated to the Sunday paper and a lazy breakfast in bed of coffee, scrambled egg, fried egg on toast, bacon and pancakes - and struggling to eat it all! - I watched my present, a DVD, with my ‘baby’ before heading off to visit my Mum for the afternoon. What a glorious, laid-back day it was.

Words of wisdom from sporting heroes

My son was over the moon today. One of his heroes, Luke Power from the Brisbane Lions AFL team, came to Master J’s school and spoke on assembly. Master J was full of stories to share with me about his hero (and how happy his Computer Tech teacher was today because he, too, is a huge fan of Luke Power and the rest of the Lions ).
